Memory Eating Viruses

Does anyone know how to (with Adaware 6.0) erase a memory eating virus? i dont know which one it is and where in my hard disk it is hiding, but everytime i go on the net, about 1gb of my hard disk free space dissapears..... HELP !!!!!!
